Kyiv's parliament after a land market vote and cabinet changes
A look back at what the Verkhovna Rada had decided in the days before 1 April 2020, as the coronavirus epidemic and a financial crisis loomed.

What had Ukraine's parliament settled by 1 April 2020? In the preceding two days, the Verkhovna Rada took decisions on both the economy and the government, while the country faced the spread of the coronavirus epidemic and a financial crisis.
On 30 March 2020, the Rada elected Serhiy Marchenko as finance minister and Maksym Stepanov as health minister. The appointments came against the backdrop of the epidemic and the financial crisis.
On 31 March 2020, the chamber passed a law on the circulation of agricultural land. The law introduced a land market in Ukraine from 1 July 2021.
Taken together, the two days brought a change in the leadership of two ministries and a decision setting a date for the opening of the land market, all within the span of two days.
