Luhansk wildfires and a Lithuanian ban on RT
Two reports from 7 and 8 July 2020 touched on Ukraine, one about fires in the east and one about sanctions.

What did the news around Ukraine look like on 9 July 2020? Two reports from the preceding days set the picture.
On 7 July, hundreds of firefighters and rescue workers were deployed against wildfires in Luhansk Oblast in eastern Ukraine. The fires had killed six people and destroyed more than 120 houses. Luhansk Governor Serhiy Haidai said some of the blazes might have been caused by arson.
On 8 July, Lithuania banned the Russian state-owned television network RT. The decision was tied to the network's connection with Dmitry Kiselyov, who is sanctioned by the European Union for his role in the 2014 Ukrainian crisis.
One story concerned an emergency response on the ground in Luhansk Oblast; the other concerned a sanctions-linked media ban in Lithuania.
