Ukraine's exit from the landmine treaty and a tribunal accord
A look back at two decisions on Ukraine's international commitments reported in the days before 30 June 2025.

What had Kyiv decided on the international front by 30 June 2025? Two items stood out in the reports of the preceding days.
On 29 June 2025, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree withdrawing Ukraine from the Ottawa Convention, the treaty on anti-personnel mines.
A few days earlier, on 25 June 2025, Zelenskyy and the Council of Europe's Human Rights Office signed an accord to establish a special tribunal for crimes in Ukraine, in the context of the Russian invasion.
The two steps, reported within five days of each other, concerned different areas of international commitment: one ended Ukraine's participation in a treaty, the other set up a mechanism for prosecuting crimes linked to the invasion.
