What did Ukraine's new national security strategy set out?

A look back at the approval of the strategy titled "Human Security – Security of the Country" and a plagiarism ruling involving the acting education minister.

What happened in Kyiv on 14 September 2020? President Volodymyr Zelensky approved the National Security Strategy of Ukraine, titled "Human Security – Security of the Country".

The president's approval of the document was the main political event of that day.

Three days earlier, on 11 September 2020, the ethics committee of the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance ruled that it had found plagiarism in the works of Serhiy Shkarlet, acting Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine. The ruling concerned the acting head of the education ministry and was issued by the body responsible for quality assurance in education.
