Why did Yermak's resignation follow an anti-corruption raid?
A retrospective on 28 November 2025, when the head of the president's office left his post after a search of his apartment.

What happened on 28 November 2025 to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine? Andriy Yermak resigned from the post after agents from the National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office raided his apartment.
The raid was part of Operation Midas, an anti-corruption investigation. As reported at the time, the search of Yermak's flat concerned his alleged involvement in the scandal surrounding Energoatom.
Yermak had led the staff of President Volodymyr Zelensky. His departure came the same day as the search, linking a law-enforcement action directly to a change at the top of the presidential administration.
The episode placed the two anti-corruption bodies at the centre of events in Kyiv on 28 November 2025. Their agents carried out the search, and the resignation followed.
