A look back at the Ukrainian president's second foreign trip since the full-scale invasion, and the stop that followed it.

What did Volodymyr Zelenskyy's second trip abroad since the start of the Russian invasion involve? On 9 February 2023, the day after his visit to the United Kingdom, attention turned to the next leg of the journey.

On 8 February 2023, the president of Ukraine met King Charles III and Prime Minister Rishi Sunak. He also addressed members of parliament in Westminster Hall in the Houses of Parliament. The visit followed his December 2022 trip to the United States, which was his first journey outside Ukraine since the invasion began.

As reported at the time, the London visit was to be followed by a trip to France. There Zelenskyy was to meet President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.

Taken together, the stops in London and France made up a short tour of European capitals.
