Ukraine's COVID-19 toll rose by a record 407 deaths in a day
Ukraine's pandemic figures climbed through late March 2021, with new records for both daily cases and deaths.

How bad had Ukraine's COVID-19 situation become by 31 March 2021? Ukraine reported a record 407 deaths in the preceding 24 hours, bringing the nationwide death toll to 32,825.
The daily death count had already been climbing. On 25 March 2021, Ukraine reported 362 deaths in 24 hours, which brought the nationwide toll to 31,135 at that point.
Confirmed cases rose sharply over the same days. On 25 March, Ukraine reported a record 16,669 new confirmed cases, taking the nationwide total to 1,596,575. The following day, 26 March, a new record followed: 18,132 new confirmed cases in 24 hours, lifting the total to 1,614,707.
Taken together, the figures from 25 March to 31 March 2021 show daily records being set for both new infections and deaths, with the total number of confirmed cases passing 1.6 million.
