A look back at the pandemic figures Ukraine had reported by the start of April 2021, including record daily deaths and new cases.

How bad had Ukraine's COVID-19 situation become by 1 April 2021? The figures reported in the days before that date showed a country at the peak of its pandemic counts so far.

On 31 March 2021, Ukraine reported a record 407 deaths in the previous 24 hours. That brought the nationwide death toll to 32,825.

Five days earlier, on 26 March 2021, the country had reported a record 18,132 new confirmed cases in a single 24-hour period. That took the nationwide total of confirmed cases to 1,614,707.

Taken together, the two reports marked new daily highs for both infections and deaths in the days leading up to 1 April 2021.
