What Ukraine's tightened quarantine rules meant from 7 April 2020
A look back at the restrictions on public movement that had come into force a day earlier, on 6 April 2020, as part of the coronavirus quarantine.

What did life under Ukraine's coronavirus quarantine look like by 7 April 2020? A set of tighter rules imposed by the Cabinet of Ministers had taken effect the previous day, 6 April, and they shaped everyday movement across the country.
Under the ban, people were not allowed to be in public places without a mask or respirator, or without documents. Walks in parks and squares were prohibited, as was moving around in a group of more than two people.
The government also required people over 60 to self-isolate for the duration of the quarantine.
Taken together, the measures covered what people wore outdoors, what they carried, where they could walk and how many could gather. The restrictions applied for as long as the quarantine lasted.
