On 26 October 2025, a Russian drone struck a minibus in Mykolaivka, in Sumy Raion, Sumy Oblast. One person was killed and 13 others were injured, two of them seriously. The attack fell within the context of what was described as the 2025 Sumy offensive.
The same day, a Ukrainian drone strike hit an apartment building in Russian-controlled Donetsk, in Donetsk Oblast. Two people were killed, among them an elderly woman, and another person was injured.
Both incidents were reported as part of the wider Russo-Ukrainian war.
