Mykolaiv and Zaporizhzhia: the toll of the 11 November strikes

Posted: | Filed under: Regions | by Borderland staff

A look back at Russian air strikes that killed five people and injured 18 in two Ukrainian regional cities.

What did the days around 13 November 2024 look like for Ukraine's southern regions? They were marked by the aftermath of Russian air strikes on Mykolaiv and Zaporizhzhia, carried out on 11 November 2024.

As reported at the time, five people were killed and 18 others were injured in the attacks. Five of the injured were children.

The strikes hit two regional cities that had already been targets during the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Mykolaiv in particular had been attacked several times by Russian rocket fire over the course of the war.

The 11 November attacks added to that record, leaving families in both cities to cope with the casualties, including the young victims.
