Strikes on Kharkiv and Odesa regions on 10 April 2024
A look back at a day of Russian attacks that killed people in two of Ukraine's regions, after shelling days earlier in a third.

What did a single day of strikes look like across Ukraine's regions? On 10 April 2024, Russian attacks killed people in both the north-east and the south of the country.
In Kharkiv Oblast, Russian airstrikes killed at least three people and injured four others. The same day in Odesa, a Russian missile strike killed four people and wounded seven more.
The two attacks came two days after shelling in Huliaipole, in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, which on 8 April 2024 killed three civilians.
Taken together, the reports from 8 and 10 April 2024 record at least ten deaths in three different oblasts over the span of three days. The attacks fell on places far apart: Kharkiv Oblast in the north-east, Odesa on the Black Sea coast, and Huliaipole in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.
For regional authorities and residents, the toll in each place was counted in the same terms: the dead, the injured, and the communities left to absorb the loss.
