Two deaths in Sevastopol crane accident, days after Ovruch blast

A look back at two incidents that killed people in Ukraine's territory in late October 2025.

What happened on 27 October 2025 at the Sevastopol shipbuilding plant? A floating crane overturned at the yard, and two people died as a result.

The incident came three days after another deadly event, on 24 October 2025, at the railway station in Ovruch. An explosion there killed four people, including the perpetrator, and left 12 others injured.

The crane accident at the Sevastopol shipbuilding plant was reported as having caused two deaths. The plant was the site of the overturned floating crane on 27 October 2025.

Ovruch station

The blast at the Ovruch railway station on 24 October 2025 produced a higher toll: four dead, the perpetrator among them, and 12 wounded.

Taken together, the two incidents in the space of four days left six people dead, counting the perpetrator in Ovruch, and 12 injured. They were separate events in different places, and the reports linked them by no common cause.
