Two incidents that left dead and injured in late October 2025

A look back at a floating crane accident in Sevastopol and a railway station blast in Ovruch, reported in the days before 30 October 2025.

What had been reported by 30 October 2025 about two deadly incidents in the preceding week? Both involved deaths at industrial or transport sites, and both were recorded in the days leading up to that date.

On 24 October 2025, an explosion at the railway station in Ovruch killed four people, including the perpetrator, and left 12 others injured. The reports gave those casualty figures.

Three days later, on 27 October 2025, a floating crane overturned at the Sevastopol shipbuilding yard. Two people died as a result.

The reports from those days gave no further detail on either event, and the two were not linked in them. Together they marked a week in which the deaths of six people, one of them the perpetrator of the Ovruch blast, were reported at a railway station and a shipyard.
