What happened at Sevastopol shipyard and Ovruch station?
A look back at two fatal incidents reported in the days around 27 October 2025, one at a shipyard and one at a railway station.

What did the reports of 27 October 2025 say about a shipyard in Sevastopol? On that date, a floating crane overturned at the Sevastopol shipyard, and two people died as a result.
The incident came three days after a separate deadly event, on 24 October 2025, at the railway station in Ovruch. An explosion there killed four people, one of them the perpetrator, and left another 12 injured.
The two incidents were unrelated in nature: one was an industrial accident involving heavy lifting equipment at a shipbuilding site, the other an explosion at a transport hub. Each, as reported at the time, brought loss of life within the span of a few days.
In the Sevastopol case, the reports named the overturned floating crane and the two deaths as the outcome. In the Ovruch case, the reports gave the toll of four dead, including the perpetrator, and twelve wounded.
Looking back, these two reports mark a grim sequence of late October 2025: a workplace accident on 27 October and, three days before it, an explosion at a railway station that caused casualties among those present.
