A look back at three reports from the days leading up to 5 April 2019, from Boryspil airport to a Venezuelan helicopter centre.

What was in the news as of 5 April 2019? Reports from the preceding days covered air travel in Kyiv, a boxing title defence and a Russian military training project in Venezuela.

On 31 March 2019, a second terminal began operating at Boryspil international airport. Terminal F was to be used for low-cost carriers and charter flights.

On 30 March 2019, Oleksandr Usyk's compatriot Oleksandr Gvozdyk beat Doudou Ngumbu by technical knockout and kept his WBC champion's title.

On 2 April 2019, Russia opened a helicopter training facility in Venezuela. Under the plans, the Russian state-owned company Rostec would train Venezuelan pilots to fly Mi-35M gunships and transport helicopters. The move came after the White House had warned Moscow against sending troops or military equipment to the country.
