Economic passport bill and two million COVID tests: Ukraine's 20 January
A parliamentary committee backed the economic passport bill, and a large UNICEF-procured batch of rapid tests reached Kyiv.

What did Ukraine's economic agenda look like on 21 January 2022, the day after two notable developments? Reports from 20 January pointed to one legislative step and one delivery of medical supplies.
The Verkhovna Rada's Committee on Financial and Tax Policy supported a bill on the economic passport of a Ukrainian citizen. The proposal had been announced in December 2021.
On the same day, two million rapid tests for detecting COVID-19 arrived in Ukraine. UNICEF bought the tests, valued at more than seven million dollars, and delivered them to Kyiv. The purchase was financed with support from the World Bank and carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of Health.
The committee's backing was a step in the bill's passage through parliament, and the test shipment added to the country's pandemic supplies.
